Japan's Pacific Campaign

1. Explain how Japanese expansionism led to war with the Allies in Asia
   Japan and the Allies got into war because Japan attacked the U.S territory which was Pearl Harbo.

2. What were the potential advantages & disadvantages to the "island-hop" plan?
   A disadvantage to the "island-hop" plan was that there were many casualties on both sides due to jungle disease. An advantage to this plan was that they were allowed to use the whole ocean to set up their ships closer and closer to the enemies.

3. Why do you think the Japanese changed their approach from trying to win the support of the colonial peoples to acting as conquerors?
   They wanted the full attention of the people so they used brutal tactics & mass genocide.
