21 Points
The 21 Points were written by president Harry S. Truman outlining a series of proposed actions in economic development and social warfare. These points were created during the Fair Deal Truman made with the United States Congress to help factory workers, or workers in general, as well as the elderly.

The Bill Of Rights were the first 10 amendments in the U.S Constitution that were separated into their own little document to give a voice to the people. It gave citizens natural rights and personal freedom that they would have with them no matter what.

Candide was a book written by the enlightment thinker known as Voltaire.His inspiration for writing this was The Seven Years War, The Lisbon earthquake, and most importantly, the publication of Leibinz's "Monodology". He wrote this document with the intention of it being as a satire which means the use of humor and exaggeration to critize peoples foolishness.

The Code of Hammurabi is a well-preserved Babylonian law code that was significant to many people. It represented great progress in human civilization and organized peoples' lives rather than the forest laws.

The book Common Sense was written by Thomas Paine, in which he challenged the authority of the British and the royal monarchy. In his book, he spoke to the people of America asking for Independence from Great Britian.
Communist Manifesto
The Communist Manifesto was a popular book written by German philosopher Karl Marx, with the help of his friend Friedrich Engels. It was both an influential and political article that laid out the Communist League's purposes and goals. It contains the authors theories about the nature of society and politics in their point of view.
Declaration Of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was a well-known document across America written by Thomas Jefferson, as well as Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, and John Adams. Together, they discussed the equality of men and women, and their unlimited rights. Not only that, it gave each state international recognition so that they can each be independent.
French Declaration Of The Rights Of Man
The French Declaration was inspired by the enlightment, composed to define the individual rights of man, and giving each person individualism. It guaranteed liberty, property, security, and resistance to oppression to each citizen.
Japanese Constitution
The Japanese Constitution is the fudemental law of Japan. It provides a parliamentary system of government and guarantees some of the most important rights for the citizens like freedom of speech, equality, and the right to life, liberty, and property.
Magna Carta
The Magna Carta was an important document mainly for the people because it limited the power of the kings and monarchs, and gave more authority to the courts. This was the first time anyone put limits on the king, and out of this came the Parliament and the Common Law.
Marshall Plan
The Marshall Plan was an economic recovery act that proposed that the U.S would provide assistance to restore Europe's economy. This plan was helpful because it helped keep the Soviets from spreading Communism throughout Europe.
Monroe Doctrine
The Monroe Doctrine was a policy written by James Monroe that declared any nations to colonize land or interfered with states in North or South America would be seen as an act of agression and would require U.S intervention. This was created so that other countries wouldnt invade and try to take over.
Realpolitik
The term realpolitik is a system of politics or principles based on practical rather than moral or ideological considerations. The word has a negative connotation that refferd to realistic politics instead of unrealistic politics.
Social Contract
The Social Contract was a book written by philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, in which he discussed how he thought a political community should be set up. It was significant book to many people and provided influential arguments as well as persuading ideas.
Spirit Of Laws
The book Spirit of Laws was written by another common philosopher Baron de Montesquieu that talk his point of view on political theory. Many people then and now enjoyed this book because it was influenced then to look at things in a different perspective.
Torah
The Torah is the Jewish bible taken out of the first five books of the Tanakh, which is the Hebrew bible. The Torah was a very valuable book to people because they would refer to it whenever they needed guidance or wisdom.

Japan's Pacific Campaign
1. Explain how Japanese expansionism led to war with the Allies in Asia
Japan and the Allies got into war because Japan attacked the U.S territory which was Pearl Harbo.
2. What were the potential advantages & disadvantages to the "island-hop" plan?
A disadvantage to the "island-hop" plan was that there were many casualties on both sides due to jungle disease. An advantage to this plan was that they were allowed to use the whole ocean to set up their ships closer and closer to the enemies.
3. Why do you think the Japanese changed their approach from trying to win the support of the colonial peoples to acting as conquerors?
They wanted the full attention of the people so they used brutal tactics & mass genocide.

HItler's Lightning War Focus Questions (16.1)
1. What major events that led to World War 1?
A major event that led to WW1 was the Invasion Of Poland.
2. Was Germany justified in attacking cargo ships?
In my opinion, Germany was justified in attacking cargo ships because the British had attacked them first. I think its only fair that they got revenge so they can try and make things neutral between them.
3. What factors do you think a country's leaders consider when declaring whether to surrender or fight?
A leader should consider if they have enough weaponry and how long it will last them before going into a battle. Depending on how many troops they lost, its when they should think about surrendering
to the opposing army.
